Famous and legendary trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain, who trained Juan Manuel Marquez to face off against Manny Pacquiao (twice) has given his prediction on the upcoming battle on November 14th which pits Pacquiao against Miguel Cotto.
Beristain speaking on ESPN's Spanish TV program "Golpe a Golpe," discussed two key factors in why he feels Pacquiao will defeat Cotto. Beristain stated: "The key to the fight is not only Pacquiao's speed but is also the fact that he has been better with his technique. He is a technical fighter now with speed and power, and that Pacquiao is very difficult to beat.”
Beristain believes Cotto is in a world of trouble when he faces Pacquiao and also doesn't think that Cotto has recovered from the beating he got at the hands of Antonio Margarito. “I don't think he recovered from the beating (Antonio) Margarito gave him," stated Beristain.
Beristain then went on to predict: "I think Pacquiao will win this fight."
