Arum lines up two possible foes for Manny Pacquiao if he defeats Miguel Cotto

The Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto super fight that is scheduled for November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas could get hotter if Bob Arum has his way. Arum who represents not only Pacquiao but also Cotto through his promotional outfit Top Rank, is hoping to have knockout artist Edwin Valero pitted against Humberto Soto as part of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto undercard.

Arum tells ESPN that he believes he can get the fight as a co-feature to Pacquiao vs. Cotto. "We believe we will be able to make Valero against Soto," said Arum, adding: "That's the fight I want to make."

Arum went on to add that the it's possible that if Manny Pacquiao defeats Miguel Cotto, then Pacquiao could go on to face the winner of Valero vs Soto. "... If Manny beats Cotto, the winner of Valero-Soto could very well be the next opponent for Manny,'" stated Arum, adding "I think Manny fighting the winner at 140 pounds would still do 400,000 or 500,000 [pay-per-view] buys coming off this fight and that is enough to feed everybody."

Arum hopes to have Valero licensed in Nevada because a fight of that magnitude on the undercard of a massive bout such as Pacquiao vs Cotto would be "tremendous."
